So is this pic rotated? Shooting left or shooting high?

You mean 25yds or do you mean 25ft? If you mean 25yrds standing then please share your technique! And is that a flier way out on the edge??:)

Either way the Shield 45 continues to please everyone with how accurate it is and how well everyone seems to shoot it.

Went to the range yesterday and was totally pleased with my new M&P Shield 45acp performance. This target was shot at 25 yards from a standing position.

So, you were standing when you pulled the string to fire the gun in a ransom rest?

Sorry the picture was rotated. This is a 12 inch target and was fired from 25 yards standing with the flyer (my fault) at the lower left. This was also after I replaced the sear with an Apex unit and attached a Hogue slip on grip. I've attached another photo taken from the firing line. Not as clear as the first one due to the fact that my phone auto-focused on the burm closest to the firing line. I just did a preview and it seems it was rotated again - sorry. The pictures are right side up on my computer but rotate to the left when uploaded.

Well then, nice shooting. Here's a representative image of what 25 yards is. From QB to the lion loin. Claiming you put up that shot group from that distance offhand is unbelievable.
I can't even do that with my full size race gun.

Wow! If you can do that you should take the gold in the Olympics!

With a S&W 45 Shield. You will be rich with the S&W Advertising alone.

You're a very talented man.

I can get that type of group at 25 FEET offhand with my shield 45- but not a chance at 25 YARDS. But that's just me I guess, I have not yet honed my superhuman ninja shooting skills like others obviously.

1stCav, you've got a good one. Below I've attached two photos of two targets each. In each photo, the target on the left is from a range rental Shield .45, and the target on the right is a recent one from my own new Shield .45 with nearly 2000 rounds through it. The first photo has targets from 25 yards. The second photo has targets from 20 yards. All shots were fired from an unsupported standing position.

As you can see, I did much better with the range rental. It was the first time I had ever fired a Shield .45. Although it is a decent shooter, I am still struggling to get the Shield I subsequently bought to approach the accuracy and grouping of the rental. It's possible I never will. Knowing what I know now, I should have bought the rental! I had no idea there could be such large individual differences between seemingly identical guns. As I said above, you've got a good one -- don't plan on selling it!

All I can say is it was a good day. I've been shooting 1911's in competition for 45 years in the Army and civilian life. The only reason I posted this in the first place is because I was totally surprised at the results. The reduced trigger pull and doing away with the sand paper grips helped greatly. I don't care what other people think, but the people at the range found it surprising and they were right next to me

Damn. I can't group them like that at 5 yards.

Great to see the potential of this gun at the range by a great shooter! My shooting partners son shoots in the Presidents 100 at Camp Perry and I have a lot of respect for the full size 1911 acp one handed shooting that goes on. I do find shooting a compact lightweight 3in 45 like you quite amazing and impressive. You have given me motivation! I only have about another 45 ft of work to do to get close to you........LOL
Again, excellent shooting and technique!

I can attest to the accuracy of the Shield 45. I was most surprised at the difference of it over the Shield 9 I traded in. I normally practice at 15 yards and the 45 was much better than the 9..?? new grip text? don't know.....can't comment on the 25 yards grouping as I was not there...

I must concede that my Shield 45 is more accurate than my Shield 9mm, and its considerably more accurate. I can't show anyone on paper or at what distance, What i can say is that I really don't have to try hard or even concentrate to get my Shield 45 to shoot accurately. (If that makes any sense)
10" steel plates are an easy shot at 50 yds, The accuracy of this gun makes it much easier for me to accept the low round count.

1stCav that is just outstanding shooting! Makes me want the 45acp Shield even more now knowing it is capable of that level of accuracy.
