Anyone have both guns and can post pics of the width and the depth of the mags, comparatively, that'd be great. I am trying to see if a Fobus double mag pouch for the M&P .45 will work for the Shield.

Thanks guys.

Well I wouldn't have guessed it, but the Shield magazine is wider than the M&P45.

I have a 45c, and even that magazine is longer than the Shield 7 round.

The baseplate on the 45 is much wider.

ETA:
The depth of the 45 mag is about 1/8" more than the Shield.

The Shield mag cannot be wider than the M&P .45 mag. The Shield is a single stack and the .45 is a double stack.

What mag is that on the left?

I didn't realize the .45 mags in the M&P's were double stacked. Ok. Nevermind.

It's tough to find a double mag paddle pouch for the shield.

I'll post pics in a minute, but the 45 mag is much larger than a shield mag. The previous post is not of a M&P 45 mag, its something else. Stand by...

Ahh just saw your post. Turns out I won't be posting pictures. Just to be clear, I own both, and the M&P 45 mags are double stack.

The Shield is not a true single stack, they are offset ever so slightly but not near that of a double stack.
