First have somebody else fire it and verify it's the gun and not you.

I'm betting it's you. It's common to unconsciously "push" against the gun when firing it. When you do that, it causes low hits.

Practice dry-firing - it helps.

Bench rest the pistol and carefully shoot a magazine to get a group on target. Only then will you rule out the shooting errors Hillbilly77 mentioned. Then you can eliminate most shooter errors and start looking at the weapon's sites as the problem.

Most right hand shooters, when they flinch, do so left and/or down. Follow the advise above to see if he is you...

thanks for the info. Went to the range today an let several people shot the gun an sand bagged shot also the gun is shooting low. Some guys had some ideas which I don't like if I can't do something with it I will get rid of it .

Which sight picture are you using? Check out the shooting chart. The shield take some getting used to with the short sight radius(for some people). I was shooting left and low. not by much. I adjusted my grip and my trigger placement and I shoot dead center .

I always start with #2, but with all handguns, a little Kentucky windage will be needed for longer or shorter ranges. Practice will provide that skill set.

I have a small 9mm that does the same. Sometimes I think you get a gun with a bad tolerance stack.

First off thanks guys for all the info an help. There is a saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks well this dog learned with your help. I carried a 40 cal. almost my whole carrier an really never liked it now retired bought the shield an couldn't hit the side of a barn. Took some range time an 500 rounds and help from you guys I feel better carrying it when I want. thanks again
