M&p takedown lever retaining wire

I'm in need of a retaining wire for the takedown lever. Anybody know where they are in stock? Brownells and midway is out. Also speedshooters as well. If anyone has an extra they would sell, let me know.

Your pistol should still lock down and be functional with out the spring till you can get one. I lost mine and took a week of moving stuff in my gun area to find it but other than the lever falling out during cleaning it will be fine. .

Was trying to take down my M&P 9 and the take down spring got stuck in the open position and couldn't get it to go back in place. Not sure why or how that happened as it never happened before. I had likely used a pair of needle nose pliers and it went back into place. No problems of late. Any idea what happened or did is just get between pulling out and properly seated?

I took out the trigger to bend the trigger bar a little to get a better reset and lost it.

I hate to admit how many times I dropped that spring and panicked until I found it.

I lost mine(I looked for a hour), I called S&W and thet sent it out free in a couple of days.

I hope I get it soon because I would like to try out the apex trigger I just did.

Not sure if you tried this already but depending on where you lost it (range vs. home), using a magnet works really well. I've found all kinds of springs, detents, screws that I've lost control of that way.

Yeah I'm gonna look for a speaker magnet and try to find it sunday.
