Why not, you're looking great, every serious shooter know the stock
M&P trigger is junk. I'm eager to hear more from you.

Always willing to learn new things.

I've purchased 3 M&P's since August, all 3 had gritty out of spec triggers

M&P9 FS, S&W says 6½ lbs, mine was 9.0 lbs, and some grit

M&P9L Pro Series 5" S&W clams 4.0 to 5½ lbs, mine was 7½ lbs and gritty.

M&P9L Pro Series C.O.R.E 5", S&W claims same, 4.0 to 5½ lbs, this one was 7.0 lbs even. No grit

So while all 3 would fire, triggers sucked based on what S&W claims, and
Pro Series guns are supposed to have Performance Center triggers.

Apex wouldn't be selling so many of these kits if S&W had better QC on their triggers.
Maybe you got lucky, and yours are in spec.

Apex Flat face FSS, 4½ lbs, a third the take up of the stock trigger and clean break.
The other Pro Series is back at S&W for trigger repair.

I have a 45 and a 9mm that I bought in 2010 I do not see the need to change the Triggers on these guns at all. I have put 1000s of rounds through each gun and I know when the trigger is going to break and when it's going to reset and they are both smooth triggers and for the sights I see no need to change them either because when the SHTF you are not going to be thinking about the trigger and trying to line up the sights you're going to point and pull the trigger and if somebody tells you that you are going to take the time and line up the sides and know when the trigger is going to break and when it is going to reset they're full of s***.
What do you all think about this

All my M&P's have apex trigger kit on them, that's the best upgrade you can do on your gun.

Gosh guys, its not how many rounds a person has shot over how many years, rather its how well the person shoots.

How many of you have done any or all of Rastoff's challenges? Post some pics or vids then we can have a productive discussion.

You're right Bob, the OP started off this thread bad mouthing
aftermarket triggers. As if they were scams and we were
suckers for buying them. That was hostile from the start.

He said he did not see the need to replace the stock trigger.
He's entitled to that opinion, just like I and many others who
believe the stock trigger sucks are entitle to ours.

And he ends his post with this:

So I answered.

I still say that my pro version trigger is superior to most other striker fired pistols I've shot. No I haven't shot them all but I've shot several. It is certainly not a competition trigger, but it is pretty good for a cheap plastic gun, and better than the standard full-size trigger. yes it had some grit when new but that is mostly gone. The break is crisp and clean, and the pull is about 4 1/2 pounds The reset isn't very good ( much improved on the shield) and has little tactile feel, but I'm used to it now, and I know when and where it rests, so it's not an issue to me. overall I'm happy with mine but if you can't live with yours it is easily and fairly cheaply improved.

I carry a FS M&P 40 company gun for duty use. The trigger is mediocre but doesn't prevent me from acing the qualification course. If it was my personal gun, it would have an Apex trigger in it.

The Apex kits make it more enjoyable to shoot at the range. Plus, you can still use it for 'SHTF' situations. I installed Apex kits on all 5 of my M&Ps. To each his own, I guess.

1. you might not be thinking about it but you should have a good trigger that you don't have to think about.
2.if you get stuck on lining up the sights or don't bother using them then you haven't practiced enough.

an apex fss and flat trigger turned a hard-to-use gun into one of my favorites. now i buy an apex trigger for every M&P i get.

my bro-in-law (who is a much more disciplined shooter than i..) can shoot his M&P factory trigger as good as i can mine.. but only if he takes 10s - 30 seconds per shot to slowly squeeze and let the break suprise him whereas i can pound the bullseye as fast as i can pull the trigger.
