M&P40 Pro Series

Stopped a LGS that I'm only able to get to once a month or so and he had an M&P40 Pro Series (sku 178036).

Pun intended, I pulled the trigger on it as I've been looking for one for a while.

My question is the fact that the gun came with 5 15-rd mags. And the total price was $579.

Did I just get lucky with the number of mags at this price or does this version come with 5 mags?

I think you got very lucky. My 5" Pro Series only came with 2 mags.

You got 3 extra magazines. I don't know what they sold for a few months back, but right now each of those magazines sells for a minimum of $40. You got an extra $120 worth of extra magazines. Now go buy a lottery ticket.

$579 for new or used? It only ships with 2 mags. $579 is a good price for a new gun with 2 mags. Those mags are worth $40 each.

Gun is new. Saw on Smith's site the retail list is $679.

This was one of those impulse purchases that had me doing more research after the purchase than before.

Knew the price was decent for just the gun and 2 mags...it was the extra mags that threw me off. Ask the guy behind the counter if the number of mags was correct. He said yes. Then I said yes. I am stoked.

Good catch! All the M&P's I've ever bought have only come with two magazines.
