already tried, they said they are not parting out that type of model until another year or so.
so pretty much what's out there is what you can purchase for the crazy price being listed.

You can stipple your straps until they catch up with their stock. You will probably pay a premium until then, unless a member sells some here. I don't know of any web site selling any at the moment. I'm sure someone here might know a site to buy them, but they are either sold out or wanting a premium price for them. Just like the magazine issue, be patient and they will show up in stock soon.

It feels awesome! I have yet to shoot with it, but yet it gives me a more positive grip on the firearm.

I actually found another for the one I have in jail right now!

Both were courtesy of eBay listings, both under $45!

I'm sorry, but I just don't see paying even $45 for a $15 part. I paid $35 for a back strap, two mag bases, mag catch and frame tool shipped to my door.

Is the C.O.R.E. insert that much better?

I think they're better, $45 better??, don't know about that;). I could do a lot of "texturing" with a soldering iron for $45.-

Maybe I should put the 2 that I don't use on Fleabay, $90 would buy me another 28 round mag.

To each his own, I guess. :D

These M&P C.O.R.E. backstraps are not available for purchase through S&W and only available if you own/purchased a C.O.R.E. firearm.

Considering how much custom stippling jobs costs already, why not hunt a C.O.R.E. backstrap?!?!
I don't know, just me though :D

Well, you did ask. Custom stippling is not that much. Like I said, I got this set for $35 including shipping:

Don't get me wrong, I think the C.O.R.E. back strap looks good. I'm just not willing to pay 22% more than the set costs for just the back strap. I guess I'm cheap.:D

Oh no believe me I was actually going for that exact stippling job (8s), but the person who customized these was out on duty overseas and serving for our country.
Then I ended up looking at the C.O.R.E. backstraps, thus this thread was started. Luckily I found one cheaper than that was posted for $75!

Should anybody still be interested in these I just acquired a M&P CORE of which I will not be using the small or large sized backstraps with the unique factory texture. I'll offer them at the same $45 shipped should you be interested.

Agreed the high prices are ridiculous for something that normally would sell for a few dollars, but it's all about supply and demand. I feel fortunate that I was able to secure a med from one private party, and just did a swap with another person for a small, so I am pretty much set for around $20 total for both. Otherwise, Ebay is the place to find them for now - or they pop up on armslist occasionally as well.

Before I paid $45 or even $60 each like the ones in the classifieds I would just get the standard $2 stippled, honestly.

That ******* above ripped me off!

Just kidding of course.......enjoy the backstrap 78.

I have med and large available and need some Ameriglo I-Dots for my Glock 34........hint, hint.

I paid 10$ for a wood burning iron with a fine point, and stippled all my backstraps....

Just an FYI.

And this was the first I did which was my compact small one, which I never use.

Lol hey a deals a deal :D. It's amazing how S&W has inadvertently created a sideline market for these - Prasko's got the right idea, for those that don't have one, just stipple away - practice on the one you don't use, then go to town on the correct size. Honestly, I think a well done stippling job on the stock backstrap is probably better than the core one - it's not like it's that much more aggressive. Just has that factory look I guess.

That golfball stippling Rastoff has looks pretty awesome, imo

Yea, that golfball stuff is amazing, but damn it takes skill.

With practice I feel I could replicate it. Hell, I could replicate the "C.O.R.E" backstraps right now. They are pretty much the same as mine but less aggressive. They are a step up above the stock ones sure, but they don't add that much more grip.

Those that shoot "stock" competitions would be the main market for the core backstraps as stippling is against the rules if I'm not mistaken.
