I was thinking about changing the novak sights that came on the gun to the warren tactical sights... Would this be pointless or is that a good upgrade? I also looked into putting a performance center sear in... would that make any kind of noticeable difference?

Warren Tactical sights are great.

Here's what I did with mine:
I replaced the rear sight only with a 10-8 Performance sight.
I put in an Apex Tactical sear and an Apex Tactical striker block.

The difference is amazing. My 9mm FS was something that just used to sit in the safe and now it is the one I want to shoot the most.

As far as the Performance Center sear is concerned I'll just say I've replaced two PC sears with Apex sears already.

Don't know about the sights. But a trigger job on a M&P anything is bone idle simple to do. It has a great sear wanting to have it's lawyer design crew kicked to the curb.

GaryM&P is that what you have?

Also how many rounds fired after these upgrades? Ill say I have prob 800+ rounds through it w/ 0 malfunctions. I dont wanna stir up something thats not there... ya know?

Yes on the 10-8. I got mine from Brownells.

On the Apex parts I just changed the sear and striker block BUT I don't have a MA compliant pistol. If yours is MA compliant then that is the kit you want. In the MA guns if you don't change the trigger spring you'll end up with a heavier pull.

I've probably put 400 rounds through this gun after the mods. I haven't had any issues with this one or the other five guns I've put the Apex parts in.

Gary, I think youve talked me into it... Ill try putting an order in this week for the site and apex kit. :)

I heartily second the Apex kit ... after reading several posts here are there I bought the Duty/Carry Enhancement kit for my M&P9C before I even had the gun in hand. Glad I did, too, because the trigger out of the box on it was very crunchy and noisy. The Apex kit smoothed it out like butter!

I do still wish the reset click was more pronounced but that is a minor quibble. Great stuff...

I just bought an M&P9 FS to go with my Compact and am installing the Apex kit in it tonight :-) I'll have the gunsmith install the new striker block tomorrow when he puts on the Ameriglo/Bowie Tactical night sights for me ... replacing sights myself on the M&P is something I'm not yet up for :-D
