M14 Replica Military Sling-Where to find?

My brother is looking to get a replica military sling for my nephews new M14. He told me that they are canvas webbing and not leather like for the M1. Anyone know where to buy one? I told him I would ask you all. He said all he could find on line was leather ones for M1.

CMP probably has them. I've bought several there over the years. Might still find one at an Army surplus store.

Why get a replica when USGI slings are plentiful and everywhere?

I don't know about anybody else, but I'd rather have an original. They're all over GB and you can get canvas or the seatbelt style and be all in for under $50. I think $50 is on the high end.

Gee the ones I see at gun shows are still in the Original GI wrap. Not hard to find at all, just have to get out and check some older gun shops and go to gun shows.

Numrich Arms /Gun Parts Corp. has them - new repros and old originals - from about $10 to about $30. They were actually WWII M-1 slings before they were M-14 slings.

They used to be fairly common commodities at gun shows. Haven't gone to a gun show in over four years. Might try eBay.
