M29 rear sight

I've got a Model 29-2 that I'm looking for a rear sight leaf for. I've seen them sold as a kit with the screw and nut. They are listed with different sizes, but I'm not sure what I need. Is the size the height or width? The gun has an 8 3/8 inch barrel so I'm guessing that is the determining factor. It does have the white outline. Any idea of the best place to get one?

Call S&W Customer Service, 800-331-0852 They are usually less than the after-market retailers, and don't charge shipping!

Size is height of the sight slide. Adjust the sight all the way to the left and measure the height of the extended portion with a dial caliper or micrometer. Be sure to order at least one spare spring & plunger too, the first time you will probably lose the one in the sight when you dis-assemble it!

Ok thanks Paladin and ALK. I called S&W, they have them. Unfortunately they are moving to Tennessee and aren't shipping anything for an undetermined amount of time. I was able to locate one from Midway and its on its way.
