If anyone has one of these super rare (only 615 made in 1989) full-lug, adjustable sight, Chiefs Special M36's... there's a box for sale on eBay, product code 101549.

I'm tempted to buy it myself because I'd LOVE to have one of these awesome 3-inch J-frames one day.

I, too, was looking for a 36-6 until I stumbled across the 337-1 I purchased last week as you know. I still don't know how many of these were produced but there has to be information somewhere about that. I have a 36-1 which is an excellent shooter.

And, yes, I'm still working on getting pics posted!!

:)

The 3" full underlug pre IL Model 36 and 60 with target sites look cool like a miniature Model 586 / 686 but truth be told I just dont need target sites on a CCW ,

I do prefer Target sites at the range but also prefer a K , L or N frame with a 4" to 6" barrel .

I had one for quite a while and ended up giving it to my daughter, only because I replaced it with a 60-15. I use mine for field carry and prefer the stainless finish and the ability to use magnum ammunition. They are both great guns and have served well on at least zillion miles of woods carry.

I greatly prefer target sights on my field guns and even these little fellows are sighted in dead on at 50 yards.

Seriously, I have been waiting for two weeks for these pics to show up. What is the problem? PM one of us if you need help getting them up.

LOL Well, I was able to find my camera...

I haven't yet had the time to introduce the camera to the revolver, though! For a silver colored gun, what color/type of background would you photograph against? Also, I tend to take hi def pictures; thoughts on that?

I dreamed of finding a Model 36 with adjustable sights, but was given the opportunity to buy a 60-4 and am more than satisfied with it. As has been said, it kinda puts me in mind of a Model 686 that was "picked before it was full ripe." I'm sure each one who got one of those 615 examples of the Model 36 with the same features is a happy camper. Here's my 60 with a set of smooth ebony combat grips and a little all-stainless utility pocket knife that was proposed for S&W but apparently never adopted.
