M36 clone cylinder dragging on barrel

Installed the shims last night. I used four initially but it closed and opened with difficulty. I removed one shim and it felt better. I then loosened the screw that retains the crane (can't think of what that screw is called). It all feels and works well now and could probably take the other shim. Cylinder to barrel gap now measure a loose .004. I'll post again after my next range trip.

You should probably file down the end of the yoke screw a little at a time until you can tighten it and still freely move the yoke in and out. I have put Prussian blue on the yoke ring where the screw end goes and then tightened the screw and opened crane then you can see where your binding. I have carefully filed the yoke at the drag marks if I needed to. But usually a little work on the screw is better.

I am glad you got it better I am surprised you got away with so little gap.

Finally got to the range yesterday and I'm happy to report that my little revolver worked well. I fired about 25 rounds of Winchester white box with no sticking or dragging of the cylinder.

Thanks to everyone for all the information and moral support. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
