Here is my M520 S&W 357 Magnum fixed sight 4" blued. I purchased mine 9/10 years ago. It did not have the box or paperwork. It had been fired. So I take it out and shoot it occasionally.

I found it very accurate with 158 grain 38 spcl and 357 magnum.

Yes, I took mine to the range this past week. Seemed to eat up just about anything I fed it. Ran some .38 +P, and some 158gr JHP through it. It's very accurate, but does shoot just a tad high. Shot about three inches @ 15 yards with Fiocchi ammo. No complaints here.

I took my Model 27-2, 3.5" barrel also, and the accuracy was just about the same.

Mine's a virgin. box, vapor paper, factory letter to distributors, rod and swab. A little bit of a turn line. I'd rather shoot 28s and let this one appreciate.

Mine was bought used, and stayed that way. At the time, I wanted a gun that would handle full-power 125gr factory loads without excessive recoil. It worked. I used to carry it sometimes, not much lately. Dillon used to sell a horsehide Kramer holster for "mountain guns." Great holster.

I had one which I traded back in March for a new 9c. It shot very well with both .38 and .357 rounds. I bought it in 1984 and paid a lot less than I was given for the trade.

You traded a 520 for an M&P 9C? That's an interesting trade. Personally, my trades are based on the value of the guns, not what I paid for them. Good luck.

Thank you for posting so many photos of the 520. I've never seen one "in the flesh." Interesting to find folks who have fired theirs. Didn't know this was allowed! ;) Enjoy that lovely gun. Looks great!

I have one, have not yet shot it. No box or docs, but did OK price wise and it fits in with my NYSP Model 28.

I have one that I bought as "new old stock" several years after they had been distributed. It is the only gun that I have ever had to send back to S&W. It had a carry up problem that was fixed, and they also had the barrel off for some reason. I have carried it as a back up hunting gun while deer hunting and fired it some. It is a pleasant and accurate shooter with full powered .357 ammo. Even used and fired, it is worth more than I paid.

Mine is NIB....it will stay that way as long as I own it...

This one has one cylinder fired through it. I personally haven't shot it. No box, but I got it so cheap I'm ok with it:D

I have one NIB that I bought 34 years ago and has been in the safe except a dozen times I pulled it out to look at it. I really like this gun and wish I could find a used one that I could shoot. First deliveries were in May of 1980 and got mine in July of that year.

The 520's might be slightly under-appreciated presently value wise, but should have a promising upside in the future. Nice examples above, enjoy.

This is the one revolver I'd love to find with a good scratch or a fair amount of holster wear, because I'd love to have a 520 shooter. If I could find any 520 at a fair price it would become a shooter within two minutes of hitting my house....that's how far away my range happens to be. Yep, I'd shoot an unfired example in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I got one. It's new with box papers and tools. I paied $425 OTD back in 97-98. It's a "safe qween". I concidered selling it several times, over the years. I always reconsidered because, I didn't need the money that bad. I'll probably save it for my kids, if I ever have any.

I put some stags on mine from Ken Driskill in Colorado. I haven't seen one come with the original number grips to it yet. Please ignore the two Five inch pre 14's.:):)
