As there were a few 2.5" M10's made, can anyone tell me if there were any runs of 2.5" M64's?
Thanks,

:) The model 64's were made in barrel lengths
of 2", 3", and 4". Early heavy barrel variations
that were chambered in 357 mag. became the
model 65. Don

I've only seen 2" 10's and 64's......They may have made some, but it would be a rare bird at that....Not something you could expect to find casually. I would wait to see if the experts here will verify your 2.5" impression and follow their advice.....Zebulon

I also have never heard of a 2 1/2" Model 10 or 62. I bought a Model 64 with 2" barrel just before they were discontinued. To my knowledge they still make them in 3" and 4". S&W did make a K frame (mod.19 and 66) with 2 1/2 barrels in 357mag.

Good point raised here.
Model 19 with a 2.5" barrel
And then there is the model 13 with a 3" barrel
I havent really seen other K frames with 2.5" except for the model 19s

I have a 2 inch model 64 and have never seen a 2.5 inch. The Standard Catalog of S&W doesn't list any either under special runs.

2 1/2 inch Model 10s, YES; 2 1/2 inch Model 64s, I do NOT think so. There are pictures of the 2 1/2 inch Model 10s in SCSW and on this forum. Among others, the FBI bought the 2 1/2 inch Model 10s prior to the 3 inch 13s.
