I always see a fair number of 66s offered for sale. Not so with the nearly identical 67s. Understand "magnum mania".

Just wondering if anyone has a handle on the relative quantities of these two models that were produced back in the day?

Maybe 4:1 in favor of the 66s?

I would guess something higher than that. I can find 10 model 66's for every 67 I come across down here in GA.

Dennis makes a great point -- a 66 does everything a 67 does but more, which leads me to think that 67s were designed for law enforcement sales for those departments that wanted adjustable sights but only in 38 Special.

What?? A 67 in 22 LR would that be a 617? Tell me more!

John

I think the factory made a handful of SS K22 CM's and marked them as Model 18's but then destroyed all but one or two.
A hard chromed Model 18 look alike is on my list of dream guns to build one day as well as a SS version of the Model 45 .22 M&P. Model 10.

WOW, thanks.
I learn something new almost everytime I get on here.

My wife must have me trained to be teachable. LOL
