Can the MA Shield with the 10lb trigger pull be retro fitted with an Apex carry Kit? Or is whatever makes the gun have that trigger pull more than springs?

The Apex kit is what most install to get the pull weight down. The sear and trigger springs are heavier in the MA guns. So if you could find some stock springs you should be able to get the pull down to around 6.5 pounds.

Any reputable smith can/will install the Apex DCAEK for you or you could do it yourself. It got mine down to 5-5.5lbs and took out the grittiness.
If desired, you can mix and match the sear and trigger return springs to get the pull lower but you might not want to if its a carry firearm.
