I need a good mag loader for my Shield 9mm. Can anyone recommend a good one?

Been using my UpLULA for over 7 yrs (2010).
It's the ONLY loader you'll need for 9mm - .45, Double-Stack or Single-Stack and even works on many .380s.
No Adapters needed.

Edited: 7yrs... not 17. Fingers weren't working right. :)

One more thumbs up for Uplula. When I got my M&P 9, I was surprised at how difficult it was to load the damned magazines, so I went to Ebay and got one.

Over 17 years?? They haven’t been around that long.

the Uplula comes in different colors. I would spring for one other than black.....everything in my shooting bag seems to be black. they are an absolute essential tool.

Thanks for the catch... 7yrs, not 17. Got it back around 2009 - 2010.
For the record though... They were established in 2001. ;)

uplula works good, I got the caldwell through the S&W rebate but the uplula is way easier.

The danger with the uplula is that I tend to blow through more ammo quicker at the range, because I can load up 3 or 4 mags at once in a matter of minutes. Sometimes I like to take it slower so I won’t use it.

The Caldwell appears great for home loading a lot of mags, but looks a bit large and complicated for carrying with you where it might be needed in an emergency.

I've used an Uppsala for years and it is really easy and quick, but the Caldwell that S&W has been shipping is faster and easier once you have it set-up for the specific magazine. Once setup, it's pretty foolproof.

+1 for the Caldwell. I've used the Maglula, but prefer the Caldwell because it does not need a solid surface to work against and does not require that the mag being loaded stay near-vertical at all times. The Caldwell keeps all forces within the hand, and since the magazine is locked into the loader (with a quick turn of the big knob at the back of the mag well) it can point pretty much anywhere as the mechanism is being operated.
