I just decided to buy an older Model 41 and was wondering if current magazines are compatable? It has heavy barrel with EFS and cocking indicator. serial # starts with A 13X XXX so I am guessing 30 plus year old?
No box and only one mag.

Yes, current magazines will work with your older Model 41. And, they are readily available and reasonable in cost. Fantastic 22 target pistol. You will enjoy it.

Thanks for the response. I already have a 2011 model 41 with a 7 inch barrel and originally was going to just buy a 5 inch barrel and set up a red dot, and local gun shop had two older models in 5 inch barrel. I put a retainer on the one that had the extended front sight with cocking indicator heavy barrel.
Rimfire shooting is more enjoyable for me than any other centerfire larger caliber guns I own. Great family and friend fun for sure and awesome for training younger folk.
I know there are some awesome target pistols out there with some terrific ergonomics, but the 41 is my favorite and the quality is second to none in my opinion.

What they said. The older Model 41 magazines magazine catch slot did not fit the newer Model 422, 622, etc. Recent manufacture magazines fit both guns

Same mags

Brownells has lots of the mags in stock which are also used on the model 46 as well. I have to order one for my gun shortly as one of mine is getting tired. Probably will buy 2 when I do this next week to have 3 real good ones instead of just one. :)

10 only up here.

In Canada we are only allowed to have a mag that holds 10 rounds no matter what caliber it is for handguns. Certain rifle calibers are strickly limited to 5 rounds only as well depending on the caliber. In Ontario thats the way it is but not certain for all provinces as they may have their own slightly different rules on this. I ordered 2 to-night from Brownells who have them in stock they say for my model 46.
