Magazine limit bill in Colorado might fail

Colorado's Governor is uncertain of his support for the magazine limit bill recently passed by the Colorado state house according to Colorado Public Radio. He has expressed concern about the conflict between "saving lives" and the interests of gun owners.

I suspect the loss of hundreds of Magpul jobs and the related damage to the plastics industry in the state might have had some affect on this.

Whatever his reasons, here's hoping he does the right thing and gets the state senate to kill the bill (and the other three now pending).

(And I thought passage of this bill was looking certain! I need to buy some Magpul products.)

Was the "universal background check" part of this bill or a separate bill?

Hope he kills all of it.

Ive been watching this one from a distance
we all know it cleared the house but CO is still one of the good old states.
theres plenty of room on this bench for fellow nail biters to see how it ultimately pans out.
Scares me just a little to see it got this far though

Background check and magazine capacity were two separate bills.

I am all for high capacity magazines, but to me the biggest abuse of power is the background check bill.

If private transactions become illegal then no one can legally buy a gun without asking permission from the government.

Universal background checks are, to me, the biggest threat we face. Once they have that then registration is only a whisper away.
