Magazine Malfunction

I purchased a couple of magazines for my 4044 from MidwayUSA. One of the magazines will not accept 11 rounds but only 10. When I load the 9th round the indicator for round 10 shows the cartridge and the magazine will only accept one more round. Should I send it back for replacement or is there a simple fix I can do? The magazine functions fine just this issue.

ETA: Opps, my bad, I bought the extra magazines when I bought the pistol a couple of months ago. I didn't get them from MidwayUSA. My appologies to MUSA.

Spring Orientation?

Could it be your mag spring is upside down or backwards? The small closed loop end of the spring should face forward at the top, under the follower to lift it at the front. The butt plate would attach to the regular rounded coil at the bottom. This would not be the first time a mag shipped from the factory with the wrong spring orientation.
