Magazine problem?

I hit the range for the 2nd time with this rifle, and had several jams (stove pipes and FTE both). I have about 500 rounds through it so far. Single 10 round short OEM magazine. Mini mags jam a fair amount. I could go 3 mags straight and have a failure each time. Federal match runs flawless. I cleaned the rifle before hitting the range today as well.

The only thing I've noticed is that periodically when loading the mag using the load assist, the tip of the top round gets stuck pointed slightly downward rather than upward. I rack the load assist a couple of times and that resolves the issue so i know the rounds are loaded OK when I put it in the rifle, but its possible it still happens while cycling rounds. Could this be causing the issue and it's more evident due to the hollow point mini mags?
IF so, anything that can be done about it?

Are your rounds staggered in the mag? I had this issue once with the 25rd mag and it was because my son attempted to put a 26th rd in. Is there a chance you could shot a short video of the problem?

When loading the mags, keep pressure on the last loaded round. Don't pull down on the assist. Just use it to take some of the pressure off so you can get the next round loaded.
