I'm new to the M&P series as I've been a Glock guy for a long time. I like some of the features on the M&P that Glock lacks such as the visual loaded chamber indicator and "beaver tail". That being said, the magazines of my M&P 40 rattle when they're loaded. The cartridges actually rattle around with just a slight shake in and out of the pistol. Is this standard? My Glocks never did this. Just curious. Thanks.

My FS 9 did that, I just slapped the mag against my palm to set the rounds. May hay to slap more than once.

I hate it. When I carry my FS in my Incog, I hear "clack clack clack" as I walk.

This is very common with double-column mags, and nothing to worry about. Normal production tolerances in magazines and ammo can combine in such a way that there is just a bit of looseness, resulting in the slight rattle.

When I load my mags I always bang the back of them against my palm or other hard surface when they are full. It is something I either was taught or just started doing back in the '80's. The other people who I compete with also do the same thing. I don't have any rattles unless my mag has issues (like one of my 1911 Para mags does.).
