Do all S & W magazines for the Model 39-2 (factory/OEM) have the S&W stamped on the bottom?base plate ? I have some that have a steel cross follower but no "S&W" stamped on the base plate.

I may have found the answer to my question. The (3) magazine buttplates I purchased on eBay may be from Numrich. They look the same. I put all (3) new magazines in the pistol and all (3) dropped/ejected just fine ( no rounds were loaded in the magazine. I disassembled all (3) and the springs look different and the follower fell right out....unlike the (2) magazines that came with the pistol. Attached are some photos of different views of the (5) magazines I have for the pistol.
Checked my 39-2. All my mags have the extended plastic baseplate with the finger hook. The two that came with the gun have a S&W logo on the lower side of the mag. The others are generics, no logos.

I only remember the S&W stamped on factory S&W model 39/39-2 magazines. I bought a couple of the mags sold by Numrich Arms with the metal follower and unmarked base plates.
I haven't used the Numrich mags but a few times and they have worked. I actually bought my mags from SARCO but they have been out of stock at SARCO since shortly after they went on sale.
