Magazines from S&W?

Still haven't heard of anyone that actually received them. What's up with that?

Fedex said mine will arrive next Friday, 3/22. Tracking status shows in transit. Probably see a lot of posts here over the next week confirming delivery of mags.

Just got shipping notice for the 10rd longs I ordered on 1/10 and 1/14.

Funny how all these are shipping at once...If these are truly made by hand as one poster described, you'd think they'd be trickling out.

I am screwed as starting in April we can no longer have magazines that hold more than 7 rounds shipped to NY nor purchase them locally. I have 6 right now. FML.

I believe that's the first oem magazine delivered in 2013 from S&W. Did you get your full order and when was it placed with S&W?

Yes, got my full order that was placed on January 12.

Oh! And they were just loose in the shipping bag. No packaging whatsoever.

FedEx shows Sat. 3/23 delivery for 25 Round Mags ordered Jan 14th.

I have always thought the fancy packaging is a waste of money and resources. Something else to throw in the trash.

IMO, packaging serves a purpose... it prevents damage during shipment. Sure, some of these parts, such as magazines are designed to take abuse, but I guarantee you no one here abuses their magazines the way a shipper will. We ship many packages a day and I am sometimes shocked at the damage a shipper can inflict.

I just recently received a S&W magazine from Primary Arms & it was boxed up & had plenty of packing material. Yes, I paid more thru them but appreciated the great packaging.

Jim, I'm talking about INDIVIDUAL unit packaging, not box packing. Even that can be carried to an extreme. I recently ordered targets from Midway - 8" shoot and see targets - three packs, total about 1/2" thick. They would all have fit nicely in a Tyvek envelope.

Instead they came in a 12"x14"x6" box, filled with air-pillow cushioning. Massive overkill. This is typical with Midway.

90 percent of individual small item unit packaging is for advertising, not product protection. A plastic bag with a big cardboard hanger tag does essentially nothing for protection.

Looks like some modest progress is being made with the oem magazines. I ordered in Feb. Hopefully mine aren't too far behind.

Not complaining at all.
:)
I think it just shows they are trying to get them out as fast as they can.

Sarcasm.:) I think they should be packaged just like the store bought ones that are/were $17.99.

My 10rd mags arrived today from S&W. I too am disappointed they didn't come with some individual packaging, even just plastic bags.
