New M&P10 should be showing up this week, includes (1) 10 round magazine. I'm looking to get some extra magazines for it. Who makes the 10 round? Only thing I can find online are 20 round PMags 20L and don't feel like paying $60 for a $20 item. I don't even see a 10 round version listed on Magpuls website.

I'd like to know if Magpul is manufacturing any 20LR mags right now. You can just about trip over .223 PMAGS at prices of old again. Local stores have them and don't even bother limiting the number you can buy. Where are the 20LRs?

macesports.com (919) 563-4070 has great 20rd steel mags for the M&P10 for cheap.

Steel mags are better than EXPENSIVE PLASTIC, they last forever and they don't break, especially if you train and step on 'em by accident.

Great guys out of North Carolina. Highly recommended.

DPMS and C Products both make quality 10rd .308 mags.

Finding them will probably be the trick!

44mag.com is a good source.

To each his own, but I've NEVER had a pmag break and they have ALL out performed every steel mag I've ever owned. What you call expensive plastic is a highly researched polymer that can be run over with a truck, shot, and still function. I'd like to see someone break one just by stepping on it.

seems like prices are only going up...free market, yes, but this is outright price gouging.. $70!!
Magpul PMAG 20LR 308/7.62NATO SR25/M110 - Black - MAG243-BLK - Surplus Ammo

Had emailed magpul regarding availability and response I got was "we suggest placing a backorder with our distributors/dealers. And we are unsure of an ETA for shipping the PMAG 20 LR/SR"

Did end up ordering a 20rd from ACS..anybody actually using them ? ( believe they are the current OEM for the 10 rnd mag that ships with the M&P10... at least the one I got..)

Any reviews on Pro Mag 20 rounders? I know Pro Mag has a bad reputation in the after market magazine world. Just wondering if anyone has actually tested them in a M&P 10. Thanks.

I remember not long ago when PMAG 30 Gen 2 223/5.56 magazines were selling for $55-$60 each. I did not buy any. Now I can get all the PMAG 30 Gen 3 magazines for less than $15 each. I have a few PMAG 20 Gen 2 magazines that I paid $30 each for. I can hardly wait for the PMAG 20 Gen 3 magazines at $20 each. I believe they will be worth the wait.

You just need to stay diligent watching all the sites that sell the 20LR. I just bought 3 from Cabelas Saturday for 19.99 each. They sold out pretty quick.

A Magpul rep on a different forum wrote that there would be no more PMAG 20LR magazines for the 308. He said they stopped making them and would be shipping the new Gen M3 308 magazines in 20 and 25 round versions soon.

I bought one 2 mos. ago--wouldn't hold just a single round or when the mag emptied to a single round the round would fall out--sent it back to the store I bought it from and they replaced it--the replacement was a bit better but still jammed on the last round (last round and next to last round try to load together). Gave it to a friend with a bushmaster 308 and I'm waiting to see if it will work for him. I see it as the mag not the gun.
Pro Mag did give me a RMA for it.

MidwayUSA has DPMS 10-round steel magazines in stock right now for $30.

Fulton Armory also has some other DPMS-compatible brand in stock for $25.

Grimreapertactical has the pmag lr 20 for $19.50. Order $99 and up, free shipping. Run by a couple of vets who give great service. I ordered 5 and realized I was $1.50 short of the $99 and contacted them next day to fix, they threw in another mag and dropped shipping charges.

I've heard it also. I bought a few when that was all there was. Rough texture, fits tight in mag well, but not excessively so. Follower hangs a bit because of finish I think. I disassembled and cleaned the GREASE off the springs and inside and sprayed with S&W dry lube. They seem to work much better now but I haven't had a chance to get to the range for a true test.
I'll update when I can

I tried to order 6 of them today and couldn't ever get it to acknowledge free shipping. Instead, the only shipping option was 27 bucks. I cleared my cart and will try later.
