Magpul AFG w/ bipod and foregrip?

Anybody know whether or not a Magpul angled foregrip (http://cdn.magpul.com/images/uploads/64_334_popup.jpg) will fit onto the bottom rail of the standard M&P quad rail, when there is also a bipod and vertical foregrip on the bottom rail too? I really want an afg, because it's more comfortable when carrying the weapon in the downward position. It's a bit awkward using the vertical foregrip when you're walking around with the weapon down, but I definitely want to keep it on there, because it's a lot more comfortable to shoot with. I was hoping to put it in front of the vfg, but behind the bipod. I just don't wanna spend $35 or so to get something that isn't even going to fit onto my weapon!

The better question is: do you really need a vertical foregrip and an AFG? If I was you, I'd ditch one or the other.

Worth mentioning, that a lot of forward weight on such a lightweight gun.

Take off the bipod when you aren't bench/prone shooting.

Good question. With all the stuff hanging off the gun I didn't even notice it already had a vertical grip too.

Get a bipod vertical grip. I have one for when my kids shoot, and it slides up into the vertical grip.

Fits with the AFG no problem.

I would just pick up another 15-22 so you can accessorize until it hurts. You already have an optic for it.



Accessoritis is the first symptom of BRD(black rifle disease).

Take it slow because I've heard the final symptoms are bankruptcy and divorce.

i dont' run a bipod on anything, use shooting sticks if i need to be stable, but on one 15-22 i am running an AFG2 on the front and a really stubby VFG as close as possible to the magwell. i know there are a lot of threads on this and pics and i thought i hated the look until i tried it.

polymer, so it weighs nothing, but lets me grab it with my left hand and pull the rifle in tight and elbow down for tracking running jacks rabbits. i had found that i was changing grips and grabbing the magwell and had a couple failure to feeds due to the downward pressure i was inadvertently putting on the magazine. the VFG fixed that.
not as dumb as i thought it was!! but a bipod is a lot of weight. like someone said above, get a knock off airsoft Gripod for cheap off ebay and it will work as both.

Why have a magnified optic, a powered optic and a front sight with no rear sight!?

My Harris bipod stays in the range bag until I need to sight in an optic. I do keep the Larue quick disconnect mount on both my 15-22 & AR. I can't imagine always keeping that heavy bipod on any rifle.

When zeroing an optic for my 1522, I sling it over a range bag. My guess is that there is no significant measurable difference using a bag or bipod. Maybe the bag might do a little better than a bipod mounted at the end of that flexing plastic rail... but I doubt much difference.

I use both & think a bag works better. However, since the 15-22 is a 3 MOA gun, I find the bipod just fine for it... and more convenient. When zeroing my CZ, then I use bags, as that gun is more accurate than this shooter.

I use my lead sled when I really want to get the zero dead nuts on but
it's not comfortable to shoot off the sled. It's funny I have the BiPod on
the 15-22 and AFG's on the AR15 and the Akdal 12 Ga

I say go for it, if it suits your style of shooting!

As for a bipod - as mentioned above, keep a Harris on a QD picatinny adapter so you can chuck it on (and share it between your rifles) as and when you feel necessary. I have mine on an ADM mount and would recommend it without hesitation

I use a 3-9x42mm scope zeroed in at 100 yards, a red dot sight zeroed in at 50, and the front sight post is honestly just for looks, and doesn't interfere with the scope.

And the bipod is on a picatinny adapter mount which then has a quick-disconnect sling swivel stud mount. So when I'm not using the bipod, the weight is gone. But the swivel mount still takes up space on the rail. So the vfg is for shooting, and the afg is for carrying, because it's more comfortable.

Same reason many of us do many different things to our 15-22's. It is why mine is 2 tone (actually about 5 tone as I have "FDE" from about 3 different manufacturers and one home applied colour )

As a few others have said, I would go with something like the Grip Pod or one of the Fab Defense versions and kill two birds with one stone. Save weight, bulk and rail space.
