Mailman came to the house today bearing a gift.. (expected Monday or Tuesday)

Smith and Wesson Model 1903 Second Model Fifth Change chambered in S&W 32 Long... I have dated it to about Feb.-March of 1911.... The beauty of the delivery was my luck in locating it at $270.00 DELIVERED....There are still finds out there NEVER GIVE UP.....All matching serial numbers including stocks/grips

Wow. I 'may' have just paid about that much for one in (ahem) not quite as nice shape :(. Good for you!

What a beauty!!! You know that gun theft is still a crime don't you?;):D

What kind of Moron would sell a like new 100+ Year old S&W Revolver for $270 shipped?

Honestly, wish I could find more of them...The "moron" has a VERY large gun store....he does not like selling older guns (30's and below) and emails me when he gets them in and usually I will buy them at very reasonable prices and he gets a quick turn around. I have probably purchased 10-12 guns this year alone.

Nice gun. Nice find. GREAT price! You have every reason to be happy.
I found this one, about 4 years newer than yours, at a small estate sale a few months back. It had the box and tools and it cost me $420. I thought I had done very well. You beat me by quite a margin.

And, BTW, it looks better in person than it does in the photos!

Looks good to me......Like to find a box for it...that would be nice

Very nice! My wife saw one of those a friend inherited recently, and it's now become one of her grail guns. Since "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy", it's now one of mine, also.

Wanna make your money back?:D

How can you not like to sell older Guns? A Gun is a Gun and profit is profit.Short changing yourself on old Guns is not a very smart business plan.Who knows how many tens of thousands of profit he has pissed away.

Are 32 caliber revolvers popular? My father in law has a 1973 NIB 32 with papers that he may want to sell. How would he determine how to price it? We can't find any comps on GB, etc.

Hi
That appears to be a Model 30-1. It should have a serial number that starts with an H.
From those photos and your description, I would think that roughly $500 would be about right.

Thanks for the info. The serial number is H817XX so that sounds right. How tough is it to get ammo for a 32? Any good sources?

A LGS has a 2" pre-30 with box listed for $599 that ain't movin'. It has some finish wear. I'd say it's probably in the $450 tops range. If you have a Cabelas, Academy Sports, Gander Mountain or Bass Pro nearby, check them out for .32 Long.

That nickel gun is simply amazing, dude!

Thanks for the 32 ammo links. I agree, that nickle gun looks like it is just off the shelf. I don't have any, but the more I see, the more I want one. Now to find a deal like that. Thanks "blanda1" for sharing!
