Manurhin MR73, in particular the old ones made in Mulhouse, are exceptionally well made. Very precise. Very tough high grade steel, even on the little parts.
It's very likely your new gun is carried alot and shot alot!
It doesn't matter.
Short of abuse, you probably won't ever wear it out.
About the forcing cone: Don't Mess With It!!
Opening up a forcing cone is fine for new, mass produced revolvers where parts are just grabbed out of a bin, and where fitting and alignment are a matter of luck. (Yes, I hear the cackling hens,…"But, but CNC!")
Manurhins are built right!
