marlin 39a ?

I'm new to site. would like to know what I have. says marlin firearms 39a on barrel serial no B1019 on bottom tang, straight stock, narrow forearm and 16 inch barrell. Good shape, shoots well, bought at farm sale in Iowa last week

Marlin 39A is a classic .22 lever action rifle. It has the distinction of being the longest continuously produced rifle in the USA and is a favorite of many .22 rifle enthusiasts.

Sounds like a mountie, but the barrel sounds a little short or bad measurement. Does it have the gold trigger?

I have a 39a the serial# is K218x and it does not have a micro-groove barrel, I think the first year for a micro-groove barrel was 1952-3 take yours down and look through if it looks like a Win or Rem 22 barrel inside its before the M-G era. Jeff
