Mods, I wasn't sure where to put this. It doesn't really fit any category, but it is leather related. Please move if it should go elsewhere. Thanks.

I recently picked up these two belt buckles at an auction. I don't know anything and can't find any information about them. I can't find an image of them on the net, either.

They are numbered 6 and 7 on the back. They are not identical.

Has anyone seen any of these before? How many made? Value?

How are these made? They appear to be hand engraved since they're not identical with the logos applied, but I don't know enough about manufacturing to be sure. Pictures aren't super clear, but even the two horse and riders are slightly different.

They are 3" wide and 2" tall.

Thanks for any help.

A marlinowners.com forum member sent me the link below.

A man named Jerry Lee Wilson was a major Ruger collector and a friend of Bill Ruger. He made the Ruger belt buckle shown here.

Just a moment...

The overall style and hardware of the Ruger belt buckle are the same as the Marlin buckles.

The Ruger buckle shows Wilson's World in San Bernadino CA. The Marlin buckles are engraved Wilson's World in Highland CA. The two towns are only six miles apart.

I googled "Jerry Lee Wilson" but found quite a few of them and haven't pinned it down to the right man.

If anybody knew or has information about this man, please share. I'm trying to document the Marlin buckles as much as possible. Thanks.
