Does anyone still make thigh-holsters for revolvers anymore? I see nothing but belt holsters and shoulder holsters. I need my gun to hang a little further down below the belt to quick draw it (Sigma's in the shoulder holster, can anyone say "panic gun"?).

What if I want to quick draw a Model 27 and blow away some maraudin' injuns? Any low-hanging rigs that are affordable and not expensive western reproductions?

You might take a look at El Paso Saddlery's Patton holster.

Keep an eye out for used "Border Patrol" model holsters from S&W or other old police supply places.

Sparky, I thnk you're mixing your revolver technology.

The double-action revolver holster and fast draw technique are more like what Bill Jordan and others did, and keep the holster and gun high on the belt.

Ole Roy and Hopalong used the low-slung holsters for their single actions, and the traditions and equipment are kept alive today by Bill Munden and his buddies.

I have wondered the same thing too because a thigh holster for a revolver would solve the problem of interference with a backpack's hip pad.
