The picture was taken at a radio relay station housed in an old French resort hotel up in the highlands. 1st Recon Bn., was tasked to provide perimeter security and we would go up for 2-3 weeks at a time. For the life of me I can not remember the name of the place.
Our 2 weeks got extended into 4 on that trip. It was a bit cold and wet and we used up a case of C-4 to boil coffee and then a few claymores when the C-4 ran out--replacing them by unscrewing the tops off handgrenades and putting the blasting cap for the claymore inside, securing it with a wrap of 100mph tape. Oh, to be young and stupid again!

Its a Blackheaded Python. They come from Australia. I will have to post a few pictures in a different post.
