My last job before I joined the military was as a stock-boy at a Five and Dime...and everyone probably had the local busy bodies.

The last one was also known as the "neighborhood watch". Every kid in the neighborhood knew they better behave or your parents ears would be burning before you could make it to the front door.

Of course they also had cold water from the hose free for the asking and occasionally a sweet treat for the neighborhood kids.

Most of us here were likely raised in a "front porch" society. Many folks now live in "back deck" societies.

BRING BACK THE BENCH SEAT.

How I have longed for a bench seat again. First and foremost, my bucket doesn't fit the modern bucket seat. In my career I worked for several days straight on this job or that and spent MANY nights in a Detroit motel. Now the best you can do is slightly recline. Not a comfortable way to sleep.
