Been there and done that too! I remember laying on the rear parcel shelf (a.k.a. rear "dash") of my dad's 1964 Buick LeSaber.
Anyone else here remember standing in the backseat footwells, looking over the front seat?
By today's "safety standards" it is a MIRACLE that any of us survived long enough to procreate!

Absolutely. Rear deck was for summer trips, slept in the footwells in the cold.
The road noise put my lights right out.
