MEMES

2 year-olds probably still eat dirt but now it's "smart dirt" and the parents will get an alert on their phone.

Before you laugh, I was reading a WaPo article this morning on the electronic invasivemess of the ideal Amazon-enabled home. It's an interactive article where you scroll down and the item/area is highlighted on the illustration.
"Tour Amazon’s dream home, where every appliance is also a spy. Here’s everything Amazon learns about your family, your home and you"
It includes this zinger (presumably for a bidet):
Toilet with Alexa integration

The system allows you to create personalized settings for your toilet, including a preferred temperature and ambiance. You can even flush it with your voice.

What it knows: When you flush, or activate a cleansing spray or heated seat.

Why that matters: You can’t get much more intimate than your bathroom time.

Good grief....

I'm sure this has been posted before, but I think it's funny!

Perfect timing! Just before I saw this, my next-dooe neighbour had sent me a text message, asking if I could bring my excav. over to clean out her barn and put in new hay, as I do every couple of weeks. She wasn't wearing her glasses, so had dictated it to her iPhone:
"Good morning. I'm wondering if we could do here later today"
followed by:
"Good morning, I'm wondering if we could do hair later today"

Clearly whoever programmed the auto-bot thingy has never been on a farm.
