MEMES

Wayne, I gotta say, I do so admire your approach to life. On one hand you go to great lengths to stay fit and going to the gym and spend time outdoors hiking and biking. You keep your body finely tuned as well as you can.

On the other hand you know the deep pleasure to be found in a cold beer and a good cigar. You balance these contradictory lifestyles and by so doing you get the all best parts of life. You really know how to "choogle".

I'm pretty good at the latter. The former, not so much.

Fortunately I like exercising. When my neurologist told us that the only thing that can be done about my motor nerve condition was a healthy diet and exercise, it was actually a good thing. No drugs, treatments or doctor visits, just trips to the gym and going outside to play. Along with a healthy diet with lotsa protein.
Since stress exacerbates my condition, he also approved cigars for destressing.

I did the wintersault once. I ended up with a cracked rib that I didn't know about until years later.

Not a cracked rib but I fell on my elbow exiting my dry garage to go get the mail. A sheet of ice was waiting inches away. Luckily I had a heavy winter coat and a hood on, as my elbow and head hit blacktop.

I knew it was time to head south :D

Yeah, I did one the 25th of LAST January - tried to "catch myself" with my left hand and broke both bones in my forearm at the wrist. It is still stiff and sore a full year later.
