I am reminded of a British radio skit about a military man and his rather flighty wife.
Rupert (good British army name): "I know you've been unfaithful, Marjorie".

I sent this to my gf but we couldn't remember the name of the rabbit. Not surprisingly, The Rabbit of Caerbannog has its own Wikipedia page.
And, it turns out that it is based on historical literature going back to the 12th c.
