Anyone have a favorite memorable movie quote? I like a lot of them. For example: Kurt Russell in Tombstone to Billy Bob Thornton. "skin that smoke wagon and see what happens". And a minute after that "are you going to do something or just stand there and bleeeed?" Or how about Unforgiven when Gene Hackman said "xxxxx you just shot an unarmed man". Clint Eastwood says "He should have armed himself if He's going to decorate his saloon with my friend". Do you have a favorite?

Clint Eastwood in "Outlaw Josie Wells" the best in my opinion. When the old lady says " He anit't no problem to follow, he leave dead bodies" And John Wayne in "the Green Beret" says "Some times has to do what a man has to do"

Many more my best.

Life of Brian (1979)

Spectator I: I think it was "Blessed are the cheesemakers".

Mrs. Gregory: Aha, what's so special about the cheesemakers?

Gregory: Well, obviously it's not meant to be taken literally; it refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.

Being from Wisconsin, and having worked for one of the countries largest cheesemakers, this IS to be taken literally.

"Glad you stopped me when you did... I might have killed her."

"The old man was right, only the farmers won. We lost, we always lose."
Chris Adams to Vin Tanner. The Magnificent Seven.

"I've done some bad things in my life, things I'm not proud of. I promised someone I loved very much I wouldn't be that man any more. But in your case, I'm gonna make an exception."
Robert McCall to Nicolai, The Equalizer.

"Let's call this fight off, there's no point in it."
"I ain't doing it for points."
Jack Wilson and Philo Beddoe. Any Which Way You Can.

Simplest invitation ever to major slaughter: "The Wild Bunch" (1969)

William Holden: "Let's go!"
Warren Oates: "Why not?"

This has been a meme among my movie-aficionado friends for decades. Whenever anybody innocently utters the phrase "Let's go" in whatever context, one of us is sure to put on a morose expression and drawl "Why not?".
