I thought that this Memorial day would be a good day to dust off one of my Garand's and 1903A3's and shoot! Tossed in a 1905 4th to represent the six-gun part. Nice time shooting these old girl's and I had to think of all the men who toted these gun's in wartime and all they had to endure. Sorta put everything in perspective, I have it good thank's to those brave men!

The ammo shortage has kept me away from the range lately. It's not that I "don't have" any ammo, it is just I'm not too interested in expending any when I don't know where the next is coming from.

When I do shoot, I certainly like the M1 and the 1903A3. I also shoot the 1911, US carbine and the AR.

It always brings back memories to me.

Hi Guys,
I feel the same way.
Spent part of the day reloading .38's
and .357's.

Replenishing what I shot last week plus some.

I am amazed at how many people (to include me) feel this way.

I'm in the same group; However, we still go to the range and spend some quality time with our .22s. Ruger Mark III w/Red Dot Scope and the Ruger 10/22 with Thumbhole stock, Bull Barrel and MilDot Scope. We spend hours at a time and go through $20.00 worth of ammo. Every now and then we break out the big guns, but mostly the .22s. Last week we were shooting bowling pins at 100 yards. We ended up shooting the strings they were hung with! At least we get to smell gun powder and good times with shooting buddies!

I'd been needing to go check out a new powder I found enough of to load with, so I made an all too infrequent (these days) trip to the range with the AR15. The test rounds worked well, shot accurately, and seemed to give indication that it will be a fine load to start stuffing cases with.

The Garand, the Enfields, the 1903 Springfield, the .30 carbine, the M1A, the AR's . . . I never pick up one on the range without the thought crossing my mind that these tools in the hands of great men have given me the country I live in and the lifestyle I enjoy.

I have to shake my head in sadness and wonder at those who fear these tools in the hands of honest people . . . .
