Mid-life crisis question...

Enough said.

:D

Buy the Caddy if you're going to actually use it for transportation. Buy the Corvette IF you are silly enough to think the young gals will give you a second look. :D

I have two friends with DTS Caddys, 2010 models in both cases, I believe. You could ride forever in those things and get out feeling like a kid. Both cars are used all the time and neither has cost the owner anything beyond ordinary maintenance.

All that said, FWIW, if I were midlifin' and just had to have a kid-car, my pick would be a new Camaro - the newer the better. :)

Buy them both, Problem solved. My standard response when somebody can't make up their mind on which gun.

Get the 'vette! But, if you can find one, get the '96. It will look like the '95, but have passenger side air bags.

Ours is in my avitar sitting in front of the S&W guard shack.

If you want bang for your buck, the Vette is a good choice. The 1995 was the second to the last year of the C-4 series, and most of the earlier kinks had been worked out. Very reliable, affordable chevy parts if repairs are needed, and the 300hp LT-1 motor combined with light weight gives very decent street performance. Where else can you buy a cool looking, 170mph car for about 10 grand in real nice shape?

Of course, I may be a little biased... Pictured is my 1995 LT-1 with 68 thousand just about trouble free miles on it. Red, of course.

Get the Corvette, they are loads of fun to drive, join club and you will find people your age bracket, going to social's, car shows and I have sent up a couple weekend get aways for our club.
I presently have now C6, but early next year I see C7 in my future for sure.
I have made lot of friends, with Corvette, and even have small group that we go shooting every Wednesday at the range, and lunch.
My favorite Cruise is Sunday Brunch cruise to Restaurant on water front here in S Florida, loads of fun on the ride, specially when you have line of Corvette speeding along I95 all in row, all colors and models.
Your choice, mind would be hands down Corvette, less face it there is lot of great thing's to do with Corvette and friends.

I have a 2016 Z06 corvette. It's my 4th corvette. The first one was a 2005. And I have ridden in several older corvettes. In my view, the pre C6 models lacked a lot in comfort. And the C7 is a major upgrade over the C6.
All of them are fast enough.
I'd get the vette, hands down, but be sure you can get in and out of it with normal effort.
Midlife crisis, no such thing. I'm 67 and plan to drive mine for a long time.

No comment about cars ..... I'm still coming to terms with you having a MID-life crisis at age SIXTY-THREE!

Good for you!

I'm a Ford guy, but between the Caddy and the Vette I'd go with the Vette. Of course the idea of buying both has a lot of merit. The Vette for sunny days, the Caddy for rainy days. My personal favorite Vette has always been the '63 split window.
