The site is down for some reason. But before I clicked on anything it showed the larger bases for the mags on there for something like $2. It didn't mention the shield specifically in the description under the picture, but will it fit a mag for the 9mm shield as well?? With my big ol paws I feel alot more secure handling the weapon with that on it.

No, the Shield is a single stack mag and that baseplate is for a double stack compact mag.
