Midway just donated $1 millon to the NRA

Just got an e mail notice that Midway , the Potterfields, gave $1 million to the NRA. This is not the roundup money, this is over and above that.

"And so it was! On Monday morning about 10am, when we went over one million active Customers, MidwayUSA authorized our bank to send a wire transfer of one million dollars to the NRA/ILA National Endowment for the Protection of the 2nd Amendment; because we can and because we should."

So even though we complain and whine about Midway (I am guilty) but still order a lot from them, this a pretty great thing for them to do.:)

Good for Midway! I think this is good business, but then a million dollars is a million dollars. Hopefully some others will hear about this and step up also.
 
Midway also just got themselves a new customer. For Life! If I want it and they sell it I'm buyin' it from them!! even if it's a buck or two higher than somewhere else. What a great, patriotic unselfish company!!!
 
Yup, Midway is now on the top of my list for future purchases.

Don't forget the >$8 million dollar endowment created by the Midway USA NRA Round-up option at check out.....
 
they did not donate the own money for this. this was paid by their customers over a years time with their "round up." donation. i got the same email. read it closely.

I reread my letter and its specifically states: "As you might imagine, we gave quite a bit of thought as to how we could celebrate. Should we choose our one millionth active Customer and give he or she a special gift? Well, we could have done that, but all of our Customers are equally important, not just the one who put us over the top. Then someone came up with the idea that we should donate $1 to the NRA for each of our active Customers. Well, let's see, what is $1 times one million?" one dollar for each of their one million customers, sounds like/reads like a seperate donation to me?:)

Ironic! Just as I opened this thread I received the same email from Midway. I think its very cool of them to do this. I have never had a problem with their service, unlike some people here apparently. Always fast, never wrong, & they almost always have what I need when I need it.:cool::cool:
 
Outstanding Midway. Thank You very much. I've been a customer for a long time and will always continue to be.

I would be wonderful if more companys follow suit.
