People have mixed feelings about Potterfield and Co. but I thought I'd pass this along. Their "Black Friday" sale starts Monday 11/25. Might be some good bargains.

I have pretty much given up on Smilin' Larry because every time I have ordered something (or attempted to) over the last few years I have had one problem or another. His Customer service needs a few lessons from Dillon & Brownell's. Hopefully he will fix the problem before it's too late.

I ordered from them 2 weeks ago for the first time in a while. They've been out of stock on anything I've wanted for the past 6 months or so. The part was actually in stock and they actually shipped pretty quickly. It looks like they've gone to USPS for the last leg of delivery. I still think their shipping costs are a little high and I particularly don't like the additional handling fee for small orders.

I'll have to keep an eye on that. Ive never had any real problems with them. They're not the fastest shippers but no slower than Cabela's.

Thanks Bluejax. I've had excellent dealings with Midway and even wear their t-shirts (this very second LOL). I've spent quite a bit of money with them and get what I need when they have it and shipping is very fast. Perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones. :)

Just ordered some stuff yesterday from them for the first time. I'll keep you posted how it went.

I'll order from them if there's no other options. Have had several dramas with them in the past, and it hasn't changed with the last couple of orders. So no "deal" shopping for me! I'd rather do that locally with the various small shops.

I have ordered from them Quite a few times in the past with no problems & shipping times were ok,Would order more often but the Main issue is items are constantly "Out of Stock"

I just got my birthday discounts and made out pretty well with my order.

Never had a problem with them, and they respond quickly to emails with questions. Just have to watch out that your order is big enough to get a decent shipping rate.

I just did the same thing D Rock...

I order many times a year from Midway.... In My experience they have Great customer service... any issue i have had has been solved no questions asked.. It ships fast but Im in AZ so it does take 3-5 days delivery time
They may not be the cheapest as some places but the selection is good as any.

My Problem is i live 1 mile from Cabela's.... so THAT gets expensive....LOL

I have used Midway for many years, and other than the "Out of Stock", have had no problems. When I consider what he does for the shooting sports and the youth shooting sports, I don't mind his shipping costs. Where I live if I order before 2 PM one day it us normally delivered the next day!

x2

I received a damaged range box one time and rather than mail it back which I asked them how to do, they just sent me a new one, no questions asked. The damaged one had a 6 in cosmetic crack in the top and now serves as my "beater".

Loading components looked pretty low too me and I don't think it will get better for a while.

I think I will spend my money on gasoline...........its prices are falling....... and get a jump on the upswing at the holiday crunch.

I have been ordering from them for years. Never a problem.
As for out of stock, Most everyone is in the same boat right now. I for one will be glad when things get back to normal.

Never a problem.
And that goes back to the pre-internet days when they used to send out the 2 page sale flyer and had free shipping. Their proprietary stuff is good too. The $10 pistol cases are a great deal. I still use a vibratory tumbler of theirs from 1990 or so. It uses Rubbermaid containers.
Just have to watch for when their deals are better than the other guys' deals.

I have had excellent service from Midway. I don't know about shipping costs or delivery times. I live 13.8 miles from them. I order it, drive over and get it. Most of the time it is ready when I get there. I live 30 miles from Graf's. It's a wash for shipping and handeling vs. the gas and time. Everyone is slumming on the out of stock items.

I just got an ad from Hogue touting that their G10 grips were on sale. When I clicked on the link, 24 of 34 styles were out of stock and on back order.

Yet another case of Marketing not communicating with the Warehouse.

I've never had an issue with Midway either. I don't care for their minimum $15 shipping for just a single item with UPS. I just ordered some stuff from the Black Friday sale and it stated UPS shipping was only $5. A pleasant surprise.

I remember when Midway had great customer service and free shipping.

Ahh, the good old days-not so long ago.
