Okay, I have used these kit's from 71-78.
Anyone know where to find these 70's ERA Military cleaning kits....
I know there are modern better kit's, It's nostalgic thing I guess....
Thanks for any info....

You really don't want to use a military kit except in an emergency. The rod sections never properly align and leave a ridge that will do nasty things to your muzzle.

Nostalgia is fine. Just keep it in your gun room in unused condition.

I used this one on my Model of 1917 but I was really careful.

Nice little bag and a T-handle

The steel rods can be hard on the bore as well, misfitting rods or not.

I have a kit similar to what you are looking for. I got it from Sportsman's Guide or CH Kadel's. Nice to have for emergencies in the field, like a stuck case or dirt got in to the action.

Keep it full authentic get the biggest jerk you know and have him inspect your rifle before you can put it back in the safe on the condition he must reject it at least 5 times, make you clean it outside in the dark, and never under any circumstances accept it before midnight.

I don't really want to use it, But it might come in handy at times....
I was an Armorer while in the Army, I know how to mess with the troops after a range day....

I fond two of these at a garage sale one day. Kind of unusual to find the complete unused set with the larger pouch. They are for the M14 family of rifles.

I think I just had a flashback

I always liked the Garand kit. Fits right in the stock with everything needed.
Sorry for the caliber drift. I got nostalgic too.
