Those look fantastic on that gun, OldChief! John definitely does some beautiful work.

You know, maybe one of us Culina collectors should start a thread to show off his work on all our guns, both his S&W revolver stocks and also his 1911 stocks and even his Colt stocks. The only problem would be which forum to start the thread in.

The new grips look wonderful on your new 629! Roasted Maple is one of my favorite woods, especially on stainless or nickel though it looks nice on a blue too. There is a lof of iridescence and depth that cannot be seen in a photo. The dotted figure is also visible from the front back as opposed to the sides one normally sees but it is neat how it moves around. Thank you for sharing and enjoy!
