The Culver's (the site owners) are both having health problems, and the board software was just too old to fix anymore; spamers abounded. So Milsurps.com kindly gave Jouster a new home.

Funny, I had never heard of Jousters before and came across them today when I was surfing to find out info on an M1 and kept coming up with broken links to their sites.

Thanks for the update.

I had the good fortune a few years ago to spend the day with Major Culver at Camp Perry. The CMP had set up a "museum" of Camp Perry memorabilia and firearms and the Major was minding the store.

I introduced myself as Gutpile Charlie and was entertained most of the day with neat stories from his past. We had lunch together and as we walked up and down Commercial Row, he would introduce me as Gutpile Charlie and it was quite a shock to be recognized, so far from home, by other internet gunny guys.

Culver is really quite a guy, but I never met his wife Gloria, "The Swede."

My thoughts and prayers are with them. They have provided a very useful and interesting service to the firearms community. I for one am very thankful and appreciative.

I hope they'll be ok. Their Culvers Pages was one of the first gun related sites I discovered on the internet. Very informative.
