Missouri Bullets wait time

I'm in the same boat as Steve with regards to Hornady bullets. Ordered a 500 count box of 9mm from Cabelas on 01/24, and they became backordered until Feb, then March, and now April 30th.

My order is with PV, normally very fast but these times are anything but normal.
 
I ordered 2000 from Missouri Bullet on Feb 18. I called 10 days or so ago and a lady confirmed the order but couldn't confirm when they would be shipped. She said she would leave a note but that was the best she could do. I was perfectly fine with it knowing the panic that has been going on. Business is booming but am sure they are pretty tired. :cool:

Received an email yesterday (Apr 1) that the order has shipped so right at 6 weeks.
 
Please don't call and email.

It just slows down everyone's orders.

Every time Jo Ann answers the phone or email she could be doing something else. She set up the whole website (in a former life she was a IT person) she does the billing, orders etc, Brad is out in the shop (WORKIN) which really does not look like much but its real efficient and hot:)
 
I bought 1M from them in February and got them in 4 weeks. Yesterday I ordered 2M from Missouri and they indicated on my order 3-4 weeks. I can live with that in this crazy time. If it takes 6 weeks, so be it. Great product, reasonable price and they are easy to deal with.
 
I ordered 2000 from MB on March 7, they have not yet arrived, but I am not in a big hurry as I still have enough in stock. Normal delivery to me from MB is within one week, but there's nothing normal about the current situation.
 
I'm lucky to have a shop within two minutes of my workplace which stocks them.
 
I placed an order on March 29. Received an e-mail this morning that it had shipped; 6 days including the weekend.

I ordered 2,000 bullets (3 different calibers) after business hours on New Years Eve (Monday night via inet). The order arrived in full that Thursday the 3rd. And that period even included a holiday!:eek: Obviously, that was about the end of their in-stock stock. So I'm sure they are working some serious overtime, as they have great customer service. They are a good company; even if they are from "massurah".:D
 
Ordered Mar 3, still no word--2000 9mm 125 grain LRNs.

4/13/2013 have sent two emails and still no word. MO Bullets is working its way off my supplier list.

It took 3 weeks for me to received my order from the order date to shipping notification.

I ordered the IDP#6, 124 grain TCFP, .356 caliber. I reload the .38 Super; with 7.4 grains of Accurate #5 is get about 1250 fps.
 
The second thing I bought after press and dies was a bullet mould and sizer/lubricator. If you are not sure about casting, Lee Precision makes very affordable 2 cavity moulds and a sizer die to use in a press. Get an old pot at good will and a dipper...any heat source will melt lead, and you are now the master of your bullet supply.
I started reloading and casting in 1967 and find the casting of bullets an enjoyable hobby . Taking old wheel weights and scrap lead and turning them into things that I used to pay a lot of money for is quite satisfying. And you can make exactly the bullet you want and size them to fit your barrel.
I like being the master of my own ammo supply.
