Deep fried snicker poodles?,The darn things do look like fried chicken.

Our teacher asked us what our favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken."

She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, everyone else in the class laughed.

My parents told me to always be truthful and honest, and I am. Fried chicken is my favorite animal. I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA. He said they love animals very much. I do, too. Especially chickens.

Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office. I told him what happened, and he laughed too. Then he told me not to do it again.

The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was. I told her it was chicken. She asked me why, just like she'd asked the other children. So I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken. She sent me back to the principal's office again. He laughed, and told me not to do it again.

I don't understand. My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am. Today, my teacher asked us to tell her what famous person we admire most.

I told her, "Colonel Sanders".

Guess where the **** I am now...

Publix supermarkets here in Florida has one of the best store bought fried chicken. Hardees a very good one too I think bolth are better than kfc or popeyes

When I lived in FL I would usually go to my local Publix and buy their (8) pc. dinner; (8) pcs. of their mouth watering chicken, a large potato salad, and (4) Kings Hawaiian rolls, all for $8.99.
Hardee's had some of the best chicken as well. The one near me stopped selling it though.

Yes I too rember the publix package deals now I think its just the chicken for that price. Hardess back in day was about $8.00 something for 8 pice pack and homemade biscuts. I know now the are at the $20.00 buck range

Publix in my neck of the woods also has excellent fried chicken.

So I think Publix just knows its business.

It is the cooks, period. The stores don't fry the chicken. Quality will very from store-to-store depending on the expertise of the folks who actually do the cooking. JMO.

Well, all of the Publix stores I have bought fried chicken from must have cloned their fry cooks. Because, every Publix I have bought fried chicken from tastes just as good as the other stores.

There was a great chinese food place around the corner that made awesome fried chicken wings. They only used the drum portion of the wing. I could hurt myself on those and pan fried pork dumplings. Unfortunately they sold out when times got tough. I have been trying to stay away from fried food these days so I usually get Kentucky Grilled Chicken when mom wants KFC.
