Glad to see you got it. Indirect outdoor light seems to work best for nickel gun photos for me, but you have at least half a blued gun there so it may not ;). Enjoy!

Nice,,, I'd sure like to run across a 27 Pinto. They must be as rare as hens teeth. Only seen pictures of them. Never saw one in person, let alone one for sale.

*That* is as nice a 57 as I can see. Congratulations on the find, and if it ever needs a new home, well ;)

Ya gotta wonder how many 8 3/8" Model 57 Pintos there could be...

I am not usually crazy about Pintos but this one stunning...

Congratulations...Bob

I love the pintos and that is a real beauty! It is not often that you see one with an 8.375" barrel...

Thanks for sharing,

Congrats on that one Charlie! Strayin' a little far from home ain'tcha? ;):)
f.t.

yeah, FT the wife found out they have gunshows in Charleston, and that was that. Greg (gkitch) brought his prewar 44 3rd model 4" for show and tell. Very cool piece.

As for long tube pintos, the only ones I have found on the net were two that Doc44 posted, both in 44mag. And I found no model 57's in any bbl length.

Posting the frame markings and a couple (better?) pics.
