I was cleaning my 60 today, and as many of you 50+ guys know, your eyes are not what they used to be. I decided to put on my glasses and inspect my barrel after/during cleaning. What I saw was what looked to be copperish looking color in the barrel groves, I am not sure if this is a shadow or residue, or just the way the barrel is made. This revolver is only several months old, and has had only about 50 rounds run through it. The only thing I have shot in it was Corbon 357 125 gr. Can anyone tell me where I can find some pictures of other 60 barrels, so I can compare. I have been looking online, and youtube for video or pictures, with no luck. I would like to know if it is my eyes or if I need to take other action, using another kind of solvent. I used bore cleaner, with a copper brush, and FP-10 on a clean patch for cleaning, my patch is very clean. Any help would be great thanks.

It is in fact copper fouling which most normal bore cleaners wont remove (Hoppes #9, etc.)
Back when I was shooting benchrest rifle I was turned on to Sweets 7.62 solvent which is specifically designed to remove copper (a HUGE cause of accuracy problems in a bench gun). Now this is all I use if shooting jacketed bullets.
There are other copper solvents out there but they all share a common ingredient...Ammonia. You'll want to use them in a well ventilated area!

Thanks 29, I will get me a copper cleaner. I am glad I ask you guys, folks on here are a great help!!!!!!!!!!
